Your pool deck works harder than any other surface around your home. It bakes in full sun, gets splashed with chlorine or salt water every day, and stays damp in summer storms. Over time that means faded color, empty joints, weeds and ants, black mildew, and a deck that just looks tired.
We clean, sand, and seal paver and travertine pool decks across Tampa Bay, and we clean your pool the same day we finish. The owners do every job, with no subcontractors.
What's Included in Pool Deck Sealing
- Deep cleaning with commercial surface cleaners that lift dirt, algae, and mildew without blasting the joints apart.
- Stain treatment for rust, efflorescence, and mineral deposits before anything is sealed.
- Joint sand for paver decks: ASTM C144 sand washed deep into the joints, in a color that matches your pavers.
- Sealing with a professional Trident sealer chosen for your surface: joint-stabilizing for pavers, breathable and stone-safe for travertine.
- Same-day pool cleaning so sand and rinse water stay out of your filter.

Pavers vs. Travertine Pool Decks
Concrete pavers and natural travertine need different care. Pavers depend on tight, stable joints, so the sealer's job is to lock the joint sand in place and protect the color. Travertine is a porous natural stone, so it needs gentle cleaning and a breathable sealer that lets moisture escape. Learn more about travertine cleaning and sealing and brick paver sealing.
Signs Your Pool Deck Needs Attention
- Sand is missing from the joints, or weeds and ant hills keep coming back.
- Pavers near the pool edge feel loose or uneven.
- Black or green growth in shady corners.
- Faded color compared to areas under the lanai roof.
- Old sealer that looks cloudy, white, or is peeling.
Optional Slip-Resistant Coating
For families with kids, older relatives, or a deck that already feels slick when wet, we offer slip-resistant coatings for paver, travertine, marble, and natural stone pool decks. We use clear Cobble Grip by SurfaceLogix with a non-skid additive in the final coat, for an additional charge listed separately on your estimate. Free Written Estimates
We measure your pool deck, check the condition of the surface and joints, and give you a written estimate with the actual square footage. Call or text (813) 389-3683 or request an estimate online.
Long-Lasting Protection for Paver Pool Decks
Paver pool decks take sun, chlorine or salt, and bare feet every day. We seal them with Hurricane CAT 5, which carries twice the urethane of other brands for commercial-grade protection, rich color, and hardened joints that don't wash into the pool. Most customers report 3 to 4 years between reseals. Want extra grip? We can add slip resistance to the final coat. Travertine pool decks get a breathable stone sealer instead.

Customer Reviews: Pool Deck Sealing
Steve and Sam did such a wonderful job, took extra care of entire patio are, including vacuuming the pool, cleaned all our screens vacuum every doorway. What a great company. If you are looking for professional work I highly recommend them.
Highly recommend - Last week Sam and Steve from Paver Sealing Florida did an excellent job of cleaning, sanding, and sealing the pavers in our driveway and backyard. Sam provided us with a thorough estimate of the multi-step process and cost for 3,000 square feet of pavers. They did exactly what they said they would do and the final price was what was quoted. Our pavers look amazing! We were happily surprised when they power vacuumed the pool after sanding to get any sand spillage out. Then they added a filler sock to the skimmer so any overspray would not get into the pool filter while sealing the pavers. We were so appreciative of their due diligence! Thank you Sam and Steve!
While calling around for estimates for my new paver pool deck, Steve came out quickly and was very knowledgeable in his craft. He explained everything perfectly and even added cleaning my brick grill for no extra charge. And while most places will make a mess of the dirt and sand which all ends up in the pool while cleaning, they even vacuum the pool to clean any dirt they added themselves! Steve and Sam did a great job in removing the stains from the pavers and the sealing itself and did it all in one day. Nobody had to “come back tomorrow to finish it up”. I would highly recommend Paver Sealing Florida for any sealing job you need done!

Pool Deck Sealing FAQs
Will you get sand or sealer in my pool?
We work carefully around the water, and we clean the pool the same day we finish the deck. That keeps sand and rinse water out of your filter and gets your pool back in use quickly.
Is a sealed pool deck slippery?
A properly applied sealer shouldn't make a pool deck slick. We choose finishes that keep good traction and never flood-coat a pool deck. For extra grip, we offer a slip resistance add-on for an additional charge.
Which sealer is best for a travertine pool deck?
Travertine needs a breathable, stone-safe sealer. For a natural look we use a penetrating sealer; for richer color we can use an enhancing option. We test a small area first so you can see the result.
Does a salt water pool damage pavers and travertine?
Salt splashes onto the deck, soaks in, and dries into crystals that can wear down the surface over time. Sealing reduces how much salt water soaks in and makes the deck easier to rinse clean.
How long until we can use the pool deck again?
Plan on about 24 hours before walking on the deck. We'll give you exact timing for your sealer and the weather on the day of service.
How often should a pool deck be resealed?
Most pool decks need resealing every 2 to 5 years. Full sun, salt water pools, and heavy use shorten that window.
Can you remove rust and mineral stains from a pool deck?
Usually, yes. We identify the stain first, then use a treatment that's safe for the surface. Rust from sprinklers and white mineral deposits are the most common.
Do you guarantee your work?
How long does pool deck sealer last?
On paver pool decks sealed with Hurricane CAT 5, most customers report 3 to 4 years before a reseal. Travertine decks are usually resealed every 2 to 4 years.
Can you make my pool deck less slippery?
Yes. We offer slip-resistant coatings using clear Cobble Grip by SurfaceLogix with a non-skid additive in the final coat, on pavers, travertine, marble, and natural stone. It is an add-on for an additional charge. Learn about slip resistant coatings.
