Our travertine was stained and dull. The crew stripped the old layers off and resealed it. They did a great job. It looks like new!

We had Sam and Steve come out to clean, sand, and seal our outdoor pool area travertine . We are very happy with the results !!

They took the time to thoroughly clean the surface, and address problem areas. The sealant they use is fantastic. Does not leave a thick film. Our travertine looks brand new, with a beautiful, natural finish that really enhances the entire pool area. You can tell they take pride in their work, and it shows in the final result. Reasonably priced too!

I highly recommend Sam and Steve for any paver cleaning and sealing work you may need. One thing I really appreciate is their explanation of all the work they will perform prior to giving an estimate. They have very fair pricing!! The work was phenomenal my travertine pool deck is 17 years old they cleaned and stripped off the old sealer and resealed and it looks like I have a brand NEW pool deck again!! Give them a call!!

Marble and Stone Questions

Should outdoor marble be sealed in Florida?

Yes, in most cases. Marble is porous and absorbs water, pool chemicals, and stains. A breathable penetrating sealer reduces absorption and makes the stone easier to keep clean, without changing how it looks.

How often should marble and limestone be resealed?

Usually every few years, depending on sun, foot traffic, salt exposure, and how often it's cleaned. If water soaks in instead of beading, it's time to reseal.

Can marble be pressure washed?

Carefully. High pressure can etch or roughen marble and limestone. We use lower pressure, the right tips, and stone-safe cleaners to clean without damaging the surface.

Why do acidic cleaners damage marble?

Marble and limestone are made mostly of calcium carbonate, which reacts with acid. Vinegar, many rust removers, and some pool chemicals can etch the surface and leave dull spots. Always use cleaners labeled safe for natural stone.

Will sealing marble make it slippery?

Penetrating sealers don't leave a film, so they don't change the feel of the stone. For pool decks and walkways, we also offer a slip resistance add-on for an additional charge.

Can you remove rust stains from marble?

Often, yes, but marble needs special care because many rust removers are acidic. We test a small area first and choose a treatment that's safe for the stone. See rust and stain removal.

What is sandblasted marble?

It's marble with a textured, non-slip surface created by blasting. It's popular around Florida pools because it stays cooler and less slippery than polished stone. Learn more about sandblasted marble.

Which sealers do you use on marble and natural stone?

We use Trident penetrating sealers such as water-based Break Wall and solvent-based Sea Wall, chosen for the stone and its exposure. See marble and stone sealing products.

Can you seal marble with a wet look sealer?

We don't recommend it. Trident's data sheet for its Hurricane CAT 5 wet look sealer says it isn't recommended for marble, granite, or polished and honed stone.

Do you work on indoor marble floors or countertops?

No. We only clean and seal exterior surfaces: brick pavers, travertine, marble, and outdoor kitchens. We don't work on interior floors or indoor countertops.

Can you make marble or natural stone less slippery?

Yes. We offer slip-resistant coatings for marble and natural stone using clear Cobble Grip with a non-skid additive, always starting with a test area and stone-safe prep. Learn about slip resistant coatings.
